SI is a joint service brought to our students through The Office of Student Success and The Learning Center. SI is a free academic program designed to help students succeed in historically difficult courses. The goal of SI is to help students integrate course content and study skills while working together. SI Leaders are students who have already taken the class and succeeded. Leaders attend all class lectures, take notes, and guide sessions. Leaders guide sessions and prepare practice tests for students prior to each exam.
Students who attend SI regularly report having drastically better understanding of subject matter as well as increased grade reporting. For students interested in taking a course with the SI designation they can do so when they register for classes. It should be clearly defined when selecting courses through the course registration process. For any additional questions they may contact Mr. Nick Hyer (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Ms. Chelsey Vincent (email@example.com).
